The Illinois Department of Transportation announced Wednesday that a 1.5-mile resurfacing of Illinois 29 from Magnolia Street to the intersection of U.S. 51 will begin Monday, March 23.
Work is expected to be completed by the end of August 2027.
The $10.5 million project also includes upgrading drainage, curbs, gutters, sidewalks and lighting. Motorists can expect delays and should consider an alternate route
