Troopers who died in the line of duty were remembered on Wednesday in the first Illinois State Police Memorial Park Ceremony.
The park near ISP headquarters in Springfield was completed in 2018 with a wall inscribed with the names of all ISP officers who died while serving.
Illinois State Police Director Brendan Kelly said he was grateful that no names were added to the wall this year.
Illinois State Police Heritage Foundation Executive Director Jarod Ingebrigtsen said the service of the fallen officers must be remembered.
