A new exhibit opening next week at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum documents struggles with rebuilding the nation in the aftermath of the Civil War.
“The Second American Revolution” opens June 5th.
The exhibit outlines efforts to match Lincoln’s post-war vision and documents backlash that resulted in decades of oppression.
The exhibit will be open through January 17. It is part of ALPLM’s commemoration of America’s 250th birthday.
