State lawmakers passed a measure banning students from using cell phones in schools.
The measure was a legislative priority of Governor JB Pritzker, who released a statement after passage saying, “Every parent and educator knows the damage that unchecked screen time and social media can do to our children and how disruptive they can be in school.”
