Severe storms knocked out power to thousands of area residents late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning.
The National Weather Service at Lincoln reported between 1 and 2 inches of rain accompanied a system that produced tornado warnings in Springfield, Grandview, Sherman, Williamsville, Riverton, Spaulding and Athens after 11 p.m.
About 10,000 customers were without power at 3 a.m. Crews were clearing downed trees and power lines through the night.
