Trash pickup in the city of Springfield may begin earlier in the day again this week due to the heat.
The City of Springfield authorized Republic Services, Lake Area Disposal and Waste Management to begin pickup at 5 am this week.
Residents are encouraged to place waste and recycling at the curb on the night before scheduled collection.
