Relatives of a 24-year-old Lincoln woman charged with first-degree murder testified on Monday that she was nonviolent and peaceful around children.
Cierra Coker faces four first-degree murder charges for the death of her boyfriend’s 19-month-old daughter Sophia Davis in 2022. Coker is also charged with aggravated battery.
The first trial in August 2025 resulted in a mistrial when the jury deadlocked.
The defense’s case continues today in the Logan County jury trial.
