The University of Illinois System announced guidelines for selection of its next president include strong leadership across the system and beyond.
The U of I Board of Trustees released the leadership profile on Tuesday. The guidelines include championing students, faculty and staff while partnering with communities, employers, state leaders, alumni and donors.
The next president will succeed Tim Killeen, who plans to retire next June 30.
The board expects to conclude the search by the end of 2026.
