A vehicle crashed Tuesday morning on the property of a Chatham day care center that was the site of a fatal crash last year.
Chatham Police said a westbound vehicle left Walnut Street and struck a light pole and an awning support at YNOT Outdoors. Police said the vehicle did not strike the building. Officers found the vehicle on its side with its two occupants inside.
Both occupants were quickly extricated with no serious injuries reported. Police said the driver showed no signs of intoxication or impairment, and the crash appeared to be due to a medical emergency.
YNOT Outdoors staff reported no children were injured with most of them not aware the accident had occurred. The facility remains open.
Four children and a staff member died when a vehicle crashed through the facility in April 2025.
