The average price of a gallon of regular gas in Illinois went up 8 cents in the last week to $4.36 a gallon.
That price is 13 cents higher than it was one month ago and more than a dollar higher than it was one year ago.
The national average is $4.05 a gallon.
Diesel fuel’s national average sits at $5.58 per gallon, which is 17 cents higher than last week and just 23 cents away from the $5.81 the country saw in June 2022.
