The annual “Makers on the Move” statewide bus tour is highlighting the availability of manufacturing jobs in Illinois.
The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association and the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center stopped at University of Illinois Springfield on Monday morning.
The stop included a discussion about the new Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering Technology program at UIS, set to launch in fall 2027.
IMA President and CEO Mark Denzler said industry and educators must develop a new generation of manufacturing leaders.
The 45-foot-long bus continues the tour of more than 30 stops this week.
