A Sangamon County Board committee will consider a proposal to move the board’s regular meeting day.
Board member Sam Cahnman introduced the proposal, co-sponsored by board members Sheila Feipel and Tony DelGiorno, to move meetings from Tuesday to Wednesday so that the county board and Springfield City Council don’t meet at the same time.
The board approved a motion from vice chairman Tom Madonia Jr. to send the idea to the board’s rules committee, which has been studying meeting schedules and structure.
