The sounds of pandemic silence can be deafening.
So one New York institution has put together a soundtrack of life like it used to be. The New York Public Library has released an online album of those comforting old sounds of city life: a bar, the rattling of subway tracks, and even a good ol’ ballgame.
The album has gotten hundreds of thousands of hits on Spotify and SoundCloud from New Yorkers longing for that satisfying cacophony.
