Sia is suing an alleged identity thief who she claims has been pretending to be her in order to obtain her unreleased material. The Los Angeles court filing claims the unidentified defendant is thought to be living in Calfornia and has been contacting various people in the music industry pretending to be Sia. They have then allegedly been asking these people to send them the singer's unreleased music. Sia is now seeking damages plus legal fees for the email scam, identity theft, and invasion of privacy. She's hoping that a judge will grant her access to identify the defendant through the person's email provider.
