The Sangamon County Coroner, Jim Allmon, confirmed the death of a 35-year-old woman from New Berlin.
The deceased pedestrian was found near the eastbound New Berlin exit on Interstate 72 on Saturday.
The death is currently still under investigation by the Sangamon County Coroner and the Illinois State Police.
