On Saturday, June 7th, the West YMCA hosted the third annual Y Ninja event, with support from Woodward Community Media. The event focused on encouraging youth to compete in a fair and supportive environment while building confidence and teamwork.
Woodward Community Media played a key role in promoting and covering the event, helping to connect the community with the YMCA’s mission. Local radio stations 98.7 WNNS and 99-7 CVS, part of the Woodward network, were on-site, and morning show hosts Rocki and Bondsy helped engage participants and attendees.
“This is a beautiful illustration of how community partnership can do amazing things,” said Lou Bart, Head of Marketing at the YMCA.
