The Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Illinois have announced several locations will provide after-school programming in Springfield and Jacksonville during the upcoming term as funding challenges continue without much of the federal grant money the organization relied upon in recent years.
The clubs said five of the locations are supported by grants while four others will remain open during the upcoming school year with community donations.
Registration in Springfield is next Thursday, August 14 from noon to 4 pm in the clubs’ Central Unit office on 15th Street. More information is at bgccil.org.
