Former Illinois Governor Jim Edgar was remembered as a leader who worked with both parties in the best interests of the state.
Edgar died last week at age 79 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
His funeral was Saturday at Central Baptist Church in downtown Springfield. Hundreds passed through the Capitol Rotunda on Friday as Edgar laid in state.
