A Chicago native famous for his tough-guy roles on television and film is the newest member of the Illinois Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame.
Mr. T was inducted in a Monday afternoon ceremony in Springfield during the IBA’s fall convention.
The 73-year-old Mr. T’s first big role was as Clubber Lang in “Rocky III” followed by his portrayal of B.A. Baracus in television’s “The A Team.” Mr. T said his strength comes from his faith. The former Laurence Tureaud legally changed his name to T as a young adult.
