As open enrollment for Affordable Care Act marketplace health care plans winds down with two plan providers leaving the marketplace, Springfield Clinic has announced it is now in network with United Healthcare’s Individual Marketplace plan.
Springfield Clinic says the timing is critical for more than 10,000 area residents who use the marketplace exchange because other providers are leaving the marketplace at the new year with Health Alliance ceasing operations at the end of 2025 followed by Aetna’s exit on January 1st, 2026.
Springfield Clinic says Blue Cross Blue Shield Choice plans will still be available on the marketplace but will be out of network with Clinic providers. The open enrollment deadline is December 15.
