A second Springfield teenager has been sentenced to prison in connection with the April 2024 shooting death of Southeast High School student Keyon Day.
Cordae Curb is now 17. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty on Thursday to aggravated discharge of a firearm.
A five-year sentence for possession of a stolen vehicle will be served concurrently.
Curb was charged as an adult. Prosecutors said Curb did not fire the fatal shot but was driving the stolen vehicle carrying the shooter. 1
7-year-old Dremone Patterson of Springfield was sentenced to 30 years in prison last month after pleading guilty to first-degree murder for shooting Day along Taylor Avenue.
