Grim statistic: Sangamon County COVID-19 death toll reaches 50

With the deaths of two more residents of Brother James Court and one at Mill Creek Alzheimer’s Special Care Center, COVID-19-related fatalities in Sangamon County reached 50, officials said Monday.Over three days through Monday, 78 new coronavirus cases were reported in the county, bringing total positives to 2,654.
