The Illinois Department of Transportation has released a new Route 66 map in honor of the highway’s 100th anniversary this year.
The map highlights sights along Route 66 as well as a timeline of the route’s evolution and cultural impact.
The map was developed in collaboration with the Illinois Route 66 Scenic Byway.
Maps can be requested through the IDOT website.
Free copies are also available at interstate rest areas.
