The CEO of the company that owns White Oaks Mall in Springfield has died.
Simon Property Group said David Simon died Sunday after a battle with cancer. He was 64.
The company is based in Indianapolis. Simon’s oldest son Eli has been appointed president and chairman of the company’s board.
