Gas prices continue to rise across Central Illinois.
According to GasBuddy the price for a gallon of gas in the Springfield area is anywhere from $4.69 to $4.99 a gallon.
The average price of a gallon of gas statewide is $4.92 a gallon. That price is 62 cents higher than just last week.
Nationwide the price sits at $4.42 a gallon an increase of 33 cents over last week.
