The Springfield Fire Department has relaunched its residential Knox Box Home Box loaner program, in order to facilitate rapid non-destructive emergency entry for Fire Department crews.
Fire Chief Nick Zummo credited a budget amendment by Ward 8 Alderwoman Erin Conley for enabling SFD to renew the program to provide over 100 secure emergency key boxes across the community
