The National Weather Service reports its first round of surveys of Wednesday’s storms determined an EF-0 tornado traveled on the ground for nearly six miles west of Pawnee.
The Lincoln office said the tornado touched down west of the Interstate 55 exit at Route 104 and traveled east before dissipating about three-quarters of a mile southeast of Pawnee.
The storm mainly produced tree damage along with minor damage to soffits and roofs of several homes. Peak winds were estimated at 85 miles per hour. More storm surveys are expected today.
