Hydrant flushing and testing is planned for two Springfield subdivisions this week.
The Springfield Fire Department and City Water, Light and Power plan to flush hydrants in the Val-E-Vue subdivision on Tuesday and in Youngston Hills.
Water can become discolored in the areas near the hydrant tests. Residents should run cold water through an outdoor connection or other tap until the water clears.
