As the nationwide outbreak of cyclosporiasis continues the Sangamon County Department of Public Health is reporting that Sangamon County has experienced eight confirmed cases.
Of the eight confirmed cases half are believed to have involved people who have returned from Mexico, and the other half have originated in Sangamon County.
Overall in the State of Illinois there have been 408 confirmed and probable cases according to data from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
