Ground was broken on Monday morning for eight pickleball courts at Sherman Village Park.
A village release said the courts are the latest part of the development of the park on Sherman’s south side which also includes an amphitheater, walking trails, a playground and a splash pad.
Construction costs and timelines were not immediately available.
The Sherman Village Board unanimously approved the project on June 16.
