The Illinois State Fair will host a naturalization ceremony at the Orr building on Wednesday Aug 19th. The event which is scheduled to take place at 11 AM will include 309 people from around the world.
The ceremony is being presided over by Colleen R. Lawless, District Judge of the United States District Court, Central District of Illinois, and Tawnya L. Frioli, Associate Judge of the Seventh Circuit Judicial Court, Sangamon County.
The judges will bestow the Oath of Allegiance on each of the candidates, which represents a commitment to uphold the values and ideals of their newfound citizenship.
