Illinois Senators Tammy Duckworth and Dick Durbin have announced that Illinois Airports will be receiving more that $ 66 million dollars for improvements as part of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Improvement Grant Program.
The program helps airports improve taxiways, accommodate more passengers and make travelling through Illinois airports safer and more efficient.
The Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield will be getting around $ 12 million as part of the program.
