U.S. News and World Report has placed two Illinois schools in the top 10 of its annual Best Colleges ranking.
Northwestern University and the University of Chicago are part of a three-way tie for ninth place with Johns Hopkins University.
The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is tied for 34th.
