Governor JB Pritzker got an unlikely endorsement on Monday as former Illinois Republican Minority Leader Jim Durkin gave Pritzker his endorsement.
Durkin in a video posted to social media stated that “ Bailey stands for exclusion over inclusion, and his politics are of subtraction over addition. His politics don’t work for me, nor the Republican Party I know.”
Durkin who served as the Minority Leader of the Illinois House of Representatives from 2013 to 2023 went on to say “Bailey’s never accomplished anything for Illinois, and he’s not cut out for the job.”
Pritzker said he is proud to have Durkin’s endorsement.
