One of the things we love most on The Morning Routine with Rocki and Lacey is connecting with our listeners. That’s why we feature a daily Topic of the Day, giving you a chance to share your thoughts, stories, and experiences on everything from food and fashion to trends, relationships, and life’s biggest lessons.
Today’s topic asked a simple but meaningful question: What’s the best advice you’ve ever received from someone older than you?
Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to receive a lot of great advice from a variety of people. Some of it came from parents, grandparents, teachers, and mentors. Other lessons came from coworkers, friends, and even young children who somehow managed to offer wisdom beyond their years. The truth is that valuable advice can come from almost anywhere if we’re willing to listen, and as advocates for mental health here, we need to know when it’s important to listen. We absolutely loved reading all of the advice you shared today. Not only did it spark some great conversation, but it also served as a reminder that we’re all constantly learning from one another. Whether the wisdom comes from someone older, younger, or right alongside us in life, there’s always something valuable to take away.
Thank you to everyone who joined the conversation and shared a piece of wisdom that has stayed with you. You never know when your words might be exactly what someone else needs to hear.
Here’s a few of our favorites.
