With Halloween on the horizon the Springfield Police Department will be hosting its annual Halloween Safety Event on Monday October 26th.
The event allows children and families to celebrate Halloween while learning important safety tips. Attendees can visit trick-or-treat stations, participate in games, and climb aboard and explore rescue and city vehicles.
The event is free and open to the public and will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on East Monroe Street in front of the Police Station.
