Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda has officially sold his first piece of crypto art. The digital piece, called “One Hundredth Stream,” received a high bid equaling $30,000 (200 WETH), which Shinoda intends to donate to charity.

Via a tweet, Shinoda explained that he donated the money “to the 'Michael K Shinoda Endowed Scholarship' at (ArtCenter College of Design) to benefit students based on artistic merit and financial need.”

The crypto art world is where “creators trade one-of-a-kind works for the special type of cryptographic token while retaining the art's copyright.”

Shinoda has now uploaded several more pieces of his NFT art.
