Almost one full year after the tragic accident at YNOT After School Camp in Chatham a wrongful death lawsuit has been filed on behalf of the victims and their families.
The lawsuit names both YNOT as well as the driver of the SUV Marianne Akers.
Lawyers for the families are arguing that YNOT was built less than the requisite 100 feet away from the road and did not have sufficient restraints to stop a vehicle from hitting the building.
Four children and a camp counselor died from the injuries they suffered and several other children were also hurt.
