A woman found dead in Clinton has led to the arrest of her husband on multiple charges.
Clinton police arrested Nicholas Smith on Saturday after finding the body of his wife Cassandra Smith.
Cassandra had been the subject of a wellness check call as well as a missing/endangered persons alert on Friday April 24th.
Initial reports are that Cassandra Smith died of multiple blunt force injuries.
Her husband Nicholas Smith is currently being held in DeWitt county jail on charges of Concealment of death and resisting a police officer. Additional charges for Nicholas Smith are expected.
