During the grand opening celebration of Resorts World Las Vegas on Sunday (July 4th), Miley Cyrus took the opportunity to voice her support for Britney Spears.
According to TMZ, halfway though the singer’s performance of “Party in the USA,” Cyrus changed the lyrics to say, “The taxi man turned on the radio, he turned to me and said, 'free Britney, free Britney!”
The track’s original lyrics say, “a Jay-Z song was on” but the 28-year-old pop star told the crowd, “We love Jay-Z, but we got to free this b—-. It's stressing me the f— out!”
Cyrus warned fans that she'd be throwing her support behind Spears on Instagram earlier that day when she posted a meme showing Hillary Duff dancing to the “Party in the USA” lyric, “and a Britney song was on.” She captioned it with, “An actual video of me at @resortsworldlv tonight partying in the USA! Land of the #FreeBritney”
