A Trump campaign video was removed from social media over the weekend after Linkin Park objected to the use of their song “In The End” being used in the clip claiming a copyright violation. The video was posted on Saturday (July 18th) by Dan Scavino, the assistant to the President and White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications featuring a cover of “In The End” by Fleurie and Jung Youth.

Linkin Park fans quickly turned to social media to express their outrage, and ultimately the band issued a statement via Twitter that read, “Linkin Park did not and does not endorse Trump, nor authorize his organization to use any of our music. A cease and desist has been issued.”

One fan retweeted the late Chester Bennington's tweet from 2017 in which he posted, “Trump is a greater threat to the USA than terrorism. We have to take back our voices and stand for what we believe in.”
