On Saturday (October 5), old bandmates Neil Young and Stephen Stills reunited at the 2024 Harvest Moon charity concert in Lake Hughes, California. Their performance was part of a benefit show for the Painted Turtle Camp and Young’s longtime charity, the Bridge School. The two music legends played a 13-song set together, featuring tracks from throughout each of their celebrated careers as well as their many musical collaborations. The show included renditions of Stills-Young Band’s “Long May You Run,” the Crosby, Stills & Nash classic “Helplessly Hoping,” Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s “Helpless,” as well as Buffalo Springfield jams “Hung Upside Down,” “For What It’s Worth,” and “Bluebird.” Stills also joined Young on his solo anthems “Harvest Moon,” “Heart of Gold,” and “Rockin’ in the Free World,” when they were joined by John Mayer. This was Young and Stills’ longest performance together since Buffalo Springfield’s reunion tour back in 2011. (Consequence of Sound)
