Reconstruction is set to begin soon on a busy intersection linking Springfield and Chatham that includes two roads, a rail crossing and the Interurban Trail.

Chairman and CEO of engineering design firm Hanson Professional Services Satch Pecori said the project is complex:
Sangamon County Engineer Brian Davis said the project will cost 53 million dollars using federal, state and local funds; Tthe project is expected to take three to three-and-a-half years to complete.
