The next court hearing for the former Sangamon County sheriff’s deputy charged with first-degree murder has been set for July 25.
Sean Grayson remains in custody in Macon County, charged with shooting Sonya Massey in her Springfield home while answering a call last July.
The family of Massey attended the brief hearing on Friday as several supporters of Massey rallied outside. The trial is scheduled to begin October 20.
