Status hearings were held on Monday in Sangamon County in two prominent cases.
Former Springfield Police Sergeant Michael Egan appeared on driving under the influence charges connected to a crash last September that seriously injured motorcyclists Trevor Hopkins and Chelsey Farley.
Egan’s next court hearing is scheduled for August 11.
In another hearing, the next court date for former EMS workers Peter Cadigan and Peggy Finley was set for September 8 on their first-degree murder charges connected to the death of Earl Moore Jr. in December 2022.
