Just months after the Cure released their first new studio album in 16 years, 2024’s Songs of a Lost World, the goth rock legends have revealed that they are already at work on a new project. The band recently updated their lengthy bio section on their official website, with fans excited about the disclosure in this passage, “In March 2025 the band went back into Rockfield Studios to record 13 more songs for a follow up album.” The bio also went on to reveal that frontman Robert Smith went “back into the studio to help reedit and remix The Show of a Lost World film,” which signals an eventual concert film for the band’s record release show in November at London’s Troxy, where they performed Songs of a Lost World in its entirety as well as early Cure classics. In addition to their new projects, the Cure will headline Primavera and Isle of Wight festivals in 2026. (Rolling Stone)
