Sangamon County Board Chairman Andy Van Meter says county zoning officials were able to answer questions and concerns about effects of a proposed data center before the board approved a zoning variance for it.
Van Meter told WMAY’s AM Springfield that the data center proposed by CyrusOne in the southwest portion of the county was thoroughly vetted.
CyrusOne is developing its construction plans before submitting a request for a building permit in the coming weeks.
