A bill aimed at protecting the privacy of people using medication for gender-affirming care is moving forward at the Statehouse.
Capitol News Illinois reports the legislation would remove testosterone from the Illinois Prescription Monitoring Program.
The plan would also make estrogen and two abortion drugs exempt from the program.
State Senator Adriane Johnson worries the data could be used to target people who use these medications.
The bill passed out of a Senate committee this week and now heads to the Senate floor.
