A large state convention held in Springfield for three decades will be moving to Peoria.
City tourism officials confirmed to the State Journal-Register that the Illinois FFA State Convention will move to Peoria in 2028 to accommodate increased attendance and place activities under one roof.
More than 5,000 FFA members and staff attended last year’s convention in the Capital City.
This year’s convention is schedule for June 9 through 11 at Bank of Springfield Center.
