What is a incredibly minor personal victory you achieved recently that you’re proud of, but is too small to brag about to people you know? (AskReddit)
Some responses:
- Filled the car with gas the night before I had to drive to work.
- I reached my third week of consistently going to the gym, multiple times per week.
- Brought it down from 6 beers a night to 4.
- Cut down my caffeine intake (5 cups of coffee a day down to 2).
- I’m very overweight — I know that. But I’ve dropped two dress sizes in the last 3 months. I can’t brag about this because all people still see is a fat person. It’s hardly noticeable when you’re this big. But I’m proud of myself for going in the right direction.
- I backed my camper trailer into my driveway as smooth as butter, no readjusting, no back and forth. It was perfection.
- I called for a repair for my dryer and called to cancel my crappy broadband on the same day.
- I got the entire house vacuumed today.
- I wore a swimsuit yesterday without shorts for the first time since I gave birth almost 5 years ago.
- I’m 21 with 10k in my 401k.
- I washed, dried, FOLDED, AND put away my laundry in the same day.
- I fixed my AC by replacing the capacitor.
- 12,000 steps a day for a month after a sedentary winter.
- Hung up all the clothes that had been on the chair for months.
- Parallel parked on the first try in a tight spot downtown. Zero corrections. Walked away like I just landed a plane.
- I listened to my body and brain and took today off work. I’m not “sick” but life has been coming hard recently. I’ll usually push through and usually to my detriment.
